The ignore list in the vendor forums? Did you add me to that?

Nope I thought you were referring to this PM spammer that sent out mass PM's in French.
And I was suggesting to just put her on your personal forum ignore list.

Newbie discussion / Re: Which state better for fake...?
« on: January 23, 2013, 04:07 am »
Nah it doesnt really matter what state, what does matter is having a real picture of you and actual information that is on that states current ID's.
I think California might have some of the easier ID's to get but if you can get an ID from an state that is done professionally you'll be fine.
Just make sure you compare the template design to an actually current ID from whatever state you get.

Newbie discussion / Re: Why is SR so shit lately?
« on: January 23, 2013, 03:46 am »

There is not a single thing here that has required ANYONE to post racist, bitter, combative threads in the newbie forum.  Users should be spending their time reading the forums, searching, asking questions, and helping to answer others' questions.

Some people on here need to remind themselves that we are trading NARCOTICS. The 'SHIT' I've dealt with on here is NOTHING compared to the bullshit
of trading in real life. Sketch people, Sketch product, roving LEO's, ridiculous prices, NO chance of a re-ship-refund because the money is NOT held in ESCROW!

Stop taking this site for granted. I've never felt so lucky in all my goddam life...

Yep.

OP needs to STFU and realize that running a legit site with this much traffic is difficult. Forget about a site with a target on it.

Obviously little twerp OP has serious synaptic issues and most likely chromosomal and testicular abnormalities as well.

Modzi

See I take no offense at all to the way Modizw called OP a brain damaged, genitally deformed  spoiled brat.
It actually wa very helpful to let other s know to not take advice from him.

gracias nomad, read the vendor page i should have remembered that. although none of the vendors i have used have specified this, maybe the best thing to do is read their profile page and determine how paranoid they are, I've dealt with a few paranoid vendors, others more laid-back. Encrypt sensitive info for the paranoid ones. i think a lot of vendors and veterans of SR would agree exncrypting normal messages is pointless... but... I guess i like to be paranoid too, better safe than sorry

I find it's best to Pm a vendor before you ever add a listing to your cart to see how the vendor prefers to do things and also I generally throw in some random questions to see how they reply to personally judge how this person will deal with the actual transaction. I like to ask them questions on their listings and about at what levels price breaks might occur and look at their shipping options and ask about things they dont cover on their profile, just pretty much gain as much info as I can before I decide it add them to a potential vendor list. I go over all vendors that carry what I'm in the mood for and carefully research them several ways and compare the vendors to each other as well as the different ways the vendors professionalism can be judged. I combination of several different aspects are always better than just using one.

Well filling this section with useless spam post for username boost post is not the right way to use this area and if it doesnt start being used in a productive manner it's gonna get some rules that make it even harder.
Most forums that use this type of section would allow boost posts a to reach the required posts to move on from the section.

This is a new section I see no reason why there can't be vendor reviews by newbs here as well as the rumor mill, it's not like there not gonna be a constant new crop of newbs that could use info in this section help them rather than this pointless fodder of crap posts. This is a new born section so of course it's gonna need a little time to become organized and setup to be just as useful as the other sections of the forum...treating it like a punishment for being new is not the way to look at it. Why not create threads yopu can leave behind to grow as a legacy, Like FAQ's on certain subjects that new members and browse as a location to answers everyone have when first getting into the forum community.

Basically I'm just telling you guys that this current spam boosting post crap is gonna be a limited thing soon it's gonna be phased out because this is also to slow the increase of throw away shrill accounts as well in the forum that creates all kinds of deception in feedback and review threads in the rumor mill. It's only currently be allowed because it was put into place without anyone given in warning.
This section isnt just for the btc spammers but for slowing down several issues that plague the community.

I want everyone to understand that the answers you get here are gonna be from the most knowledgeable in the community. As long as ppl say this is a useless section than that's how many will think but in reality it's far from useless and can be very much a great section for easing into the way things work around here and the do's and don't for new members. I believe posts in this section are just as important as posts in any other section. We reap what we sow.

I say if it is very sensitive information, like when a vendor is re-upping, then go ahead and encrypt it, or other sensitive information. Like dates and times or other things i can think of a million things i wanted to encrypt before messaging the vendor. If the vendor gets irritated well that's on them, if they don't have a while to just decrypt messages... I understand it can be annoying in certain circumstances because i can think of a few ways a vendor would stay fully anon but just check his status... anyway getting TMI here let's just leave it at.... We will carry them, kicking and screaming, and in the end they will thank us.

[Last part moved to new thread since it is a question]

Just be sure to read each vendors profile and comprehend each vendors way of doing things they all vary in one way or another.

Newbie discussion / Re: first post. 49 to go.
« on: January 23, 2013, 02:48 am »
So this is all very interesting. This has really peaked my interest, and I love the idea of anonymous economics. I'm glad I've made my way on here.

I have a few questions.

1. Isn't anyone else paranoid about doing account verification with dwolla? They want waay too many forms of ID. When I try to use bitinstant, it asked me for the same thing.  Is this standard, or is there reason to be concerned if I am to use said BTC on the SR?

2.  When I am receiving a package at residence- should I just play it cool and use my real name, if it's a small quantity? (In this case, a test... 1 g of MDMA.) I have a really good plan for something larger. Which brings me to 3).

3. Do vendors get sketchy about sending packages to places of business.. such as stores, commercially zoned areas, or universities?

I guess that's all for right now.. if anyone has any suggestions for a low-mid level distributor starting off.. please send knowledge my way. There is a huge demand in my area for real shit, and I think I've found out how.

1. All currency exchanges are gonna want personal info for banking transactions.

2. yes use real info.

3. Some vendors do some don't it's all variable from vendor to vendor.

You can start by being less disrespectful, you posting offensives language for no reason is at heart what's wrong with the community.
You personally arent the reason but like minded people with nothing of worth to contribute are the problem.
If you cant contribute positively don't post, not every thought has to be documented on the forum.
Your opinion of the moderators in no way is a honest perspective but a skewed one because you think in some way you are better than any other member.
Honestly you need to be less brutal in general, noboby wants to read the crap posts you've been posting.

Glasshouse is a vendor pretty sure he doesnt purchase btc's.
Yeah go to sugarmama's vendor profile page and read careful the details of doing currency exchanges with the vendor.

so now I will be spamming the bitcointalks.com website in retaliation, and I will continue to do so until that pillowbiter apologises and is stripped of mod status, we dont need a nanny state forums you stupid cunt, america is not the world
O rly well spamming websites require me to ban you do you really want to start over at 0 posts?

nomad what gives man? why do these new mods feel they have the right determine what is offensive, and moreso why do they feel they have the right to delete stuff because they feel butthurt? the cunt has been a member here for a few months, I been buying here since 2011, have over 30k spent here and am now having my speech censored because some fagot doesnt understand liberty? ban the cunt from being a mod, he is an embarrassment to what this site stands for.

What's embarrassing is your example as a long time member yet seem to think using bigotry for no reason is except able and I agree with the moderator that it's bad enough you are creating an alt username account but that you are being purposely vindictive and  ridiculously annoying because you think you are better than any other member. All members are equally important until they start acting in the trouble-making style of posting you have demonstrated to all.

Yeah I can definitely understand the reasoning behind the rules in place. I am a bit disappointed because I had planned on posting a couple of informative reviews regarding purchases I had made that I think would been beneficial to both the up-and-coming vendors and the SR community, but alas I cannot do that now without reaching the post limit.

Oh well, I'm sure it won't take all that long.
If you write up a review I'll be happy to post it on your behalf in the vendors review thread.

Newbie discussion / Re: Tracking Numbers...Good or Bad?
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:30 am »
The few times I've been given a tracking number from here and bothered to check it I checked it on a busy public wifi. I'm not an expert, but from what I've read you shouldn't use tor in any circumstances, because as you said it gets flagged. Any of those methods would probably be fine except for #2, but I don't know which one would be best. #1 is just the easiest IMO and has worked for me.

Ues it's best to never check on tor and when you do check use a 3rd party tracker site like packagemapping.

Prime example of every man's own worst enemy.

Try less bigotry and you might reach your post count, Rory you seem to be intentionally being a troublemaker which is not the best thing to do in your situation at this time.
Spamming is not gonna gain you anything but the loss of everything.

How about sending to your own address, but putting it in the name of an ex?
If that person is on the mailcarriers list of occupants for the house that shouldnt be an issue unless your ex files a change of address form which will surely  mean your packages will then be rerouted toi the ex.
